I believe you are the expert on your own experience.

  • I enjoy working with people of all ages and walks of life, but I have the most experience working with kids and teens in various settings. This experience extends to supporting parents and families in navigating behavior challenges, new diagnoses, and the academic and school system. I am building my experience with adult populations through my work for EWCC.

  • My personal and professional experience has provided me with insight into the specific needs of foster and adoptive youth and families who are navigating the many branches of the system, attachment, and integration into a new school and community.

I also have experience and understanding of the unique circumstances surrounding immigration communities and victims of trafficking.

I have a collaborative approach to counseling and hope to work together with clients to examine areas of concern and set goals for progress. I enjoy learning how each individual’s diverse background and experience can provide insight into personal growth. I view things through a trauma-informed lens and enjoy facilitating mind/body connection with mindfulness and emotional regulation techniques.

  • I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from George Mason University, after which I worked for a non-profit organization providing casework and services to pregnant and parenting teens before returning to school. I graduated from Old Dominion University with my Masters in Education in Counseling in 2017. Since then I have worked as a school counselor with kids ages 4-18 and their families in navigating social, emotional, and academic needs. I am excited for my journey as a resident in counseling in the outpatient setting and continuing to grow as I work collaboratively with diverse clients.
