Anxiety and Depression Therapy

Find your happiness. Find your peace.

Anxiety and Depression suck the joy out of life.

Your symptoms change you, and everyone can see it. The things you used to love don’t feel the same anymore and your favorite people can tell you are different.

Depression stops functioning in its tracks. You can’t get out of bed, your motivation is completely gone, and the feelings of sadness are threatening to drown you. You don’t like the person you see in the mirror, and they don’t even feel like you. You can remember feeling like a vibrant person and have no idea where they’ve gone. You can’t see through the cloud of depression to the other side of things, so how can you find healing and joy again? You try to confide in your loved ones, but they don’t understand and just see you as a different now. You feel isolated and alone.

Anxiety changes the way you feel about everything. You can’t remember what it felt like to ever be carefree or not worrying constantly. You have goals that you want to achieve, but can’t get things done because you’re too worried about the consequences or doing it wrong. You think about every possible catastrophe that can happen and it distracts you from the productivity that you need. Your friends don’t know what to do because the anxiety is keeping you from being your true self. You don’t like who you are, but also can’t stop it. You feel like a train car out of control and the brakes just simply aren’t there.

You’re tired of feeling caught in this cycle:

  • You want to experience happiness and joy again

  • You want to embrace who you are beneath the symptoms

  • You want to stop worrying and instead feel peace

how we can help

Therapy for Anxiety and Depression can help you find yourself.

Therapies we use to to treat Anxiety and Depression

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy: this therapy focused on identifying and modifying negative or irrational thought patterns that are affecting the behaviors that you exhibit day to day. It is structured, which is exactly what the anxious and depressed brains need. It helps you find the roots of your problems, and then dealing with those roots directly to effect change.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy: this therapy focuses on mindfulness, distress tolerance, and interpersonal skills as a means for achieving therapy goals. Through mindfulness, you will learn ways of calming down your system and seeing things more clearly. Distress tolerance will teach you how to manage your stressors and cope with life’s difficulties. Lastly, interpersonal skills can help you set healthy boundaries and communicate in an effective way, no matter what you are experiencing emotionally.

Internal Family Systems: this therapy focuses on parts of the self, usually derived from trauma or maladaptive experiences, that are now existing and holding you back. These parts often need direct healing and isolating them for treatment is more effective than trying to treat the person as a whole. These parts of the self are often trying to protect us, and nurturing is key to healing.
