I believe you are the expert on your own experience.

  • I enjoy working with people of all ages and walks of life. I have worked with kids and youth, pregnant and parenting teens, college students, and parents.  Whether navigating new diagnoses, the academic and school system, anxiety, depression, or life changes, I look forward to being a supportive resource to help guide you through your journey towards healing.

  • My trainings, professional, and personal experiences have provided me with insight into ENM and LGBTQIA+ communities, BIPOC experiences, and trauma backgrounds.  I also have personal insight into the specific needs of foster and adoptive youth and families, especially those who are navigating the many branches of the system. This has led to a deep knowledge of attachment, community and school integration, as well as immigration communities and victims of trafficking.

I have a collaborative approach to counseling and hope to work together with clients to examine areas of concern and set goals for progress. I enjoy learning how each individual’s diverse background and experience can provide insight into personal growth. I view things through a trauma-informed lens and enjoy facilitating mind/body connection with mindfulness and emotional regulation techniques.  My approaches to therapy include CBT, DBT, and IFS strategies as well as EMDR.

  • I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from George Mason University, after which I worked for a non-profit organization providing casework and services to pregnant and parenting teens before returning to school. I graduated from Old Dominion University with my Masters in Education in Counseling in 2017. Since then I have worked as a school counselor with kids ages 4-18 and their families in navigating social, emotional, and academic needs. I am excited for my journey as a resident in counseling in the outpatient setting and continuing to grow as I work collaboratively with diverse clients.
